1. Who we are

Salem Sweeper is operated by Kos Holdings LLC (DBA Salem Sweeper), based in Salem, Oregon. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

Email address — required to create an account and receive email alerts.
Saved addresses — the Salem, OR street addresses you add to your account so we can monitor the sweeping schedule for those locations.
Mobile phone number — optional; collected only if you choose to enable SMS alerts. Verified via a one-time code before use.
Billing information — SMS subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details; Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.
Usage data — standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used for security and analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage.

3. How we use your information

To send email and SMS alerts when street sweeping is scheduled for your saved address(es).
To verify your phone number before enabling SMS alerts.
To process and manage your SMS subscription through Stripe.
To respond to account-related requests such as password resets.
To improve the service through aggregate, anonymized analytics.

We do not use your information for any purpose beyond providing and improving the Salem Sweeper service.

4. SMS consent data

Your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in consent, and SMS opt-in data are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing or any other purpose. This data is used solely to deliver the street sweeping alerts you requested.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers, strictly to operate the service:

Resend — email delivery
Vonage — SMS delivery
Stripe — payment processing
Google Analytics — aggregate, anonymized site usage

Each provider is bound by their own privacy and data security policies. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data — including your email address, saved addresses, and phone number — is permanently removed from our systems. Any active SMS subscription is cancelled at the same time.

7. Security

We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. Passwords are stored as salted hashes and never in plain text. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only.

8. Your rights

You can access, update, or delete your personal information at any time through your account settings at salemsweeper.com/account. Deleting your account permanently removes all data we hold about you.

9. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and Google Analytics cookies for aggregate usage tracking. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
